Porsche 911 GT3 Launched In India At Rs 2.31 Crore
Porsche 911 GT3 launched in India.
Porsche 911 GT3 launched in India. The Porsche 911 GT3 is priced at Rs 2,31 crore ex-showroom (India). The new Porshce 911 GT3 (991.2) was first unveiled earlier this year at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
Powering the new Porsche 911 GT3 is the 4.0-litre flat-six engine from the 911 GT3 Cup racer. The Porsche 911 GT3's engine produces 493bhp at 8,250rpm and 460Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.
The rear-mounted engine is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK automatic gearbox though owners can opt for a 6-speed manual transmission (available at no charge) as well and power is sent to the rear wheels. Opting for the manual gearbox drops the weight of the GT3 by 15 kilos from 1,430kg to 1,415 kilogrammes.
The Porsche 911 GT3 sprints from 0-100kph in just 3.4 seconds and continues to accelerate till it tops out at 318kph. The GT3 with the manual gearbox is 0.5 seconds slower in the sprint to 100kph but has a higher top speed of 320kph.
The Porsche 911 GT3 comes equipped with rear axle steering as standard along with an adjustable damper system and dynamic engine mounts. The rear wing is made from carbon-fibre and the GT3 also features centre-locking wheels. The motorsport developed chassis also helps improve driving dynamics and agility.
