Polaris Slingshot Recalled Over Loose Steering-Suspension Connection
The Polaris Slingshot has been recalled to correct loose connections between the steering and the front suspension which could cause a crash.
Polaris has issued a recall for certain units of the Slingshot three-wheeler to correct some loose connections between the steering and the front suspension that could cause the vehicles to crash.
According to the recall notice, three bolted connections between the steering and the front suspension may be insufficiently tightened.
This could result in a reduction of steering and front suspension performance which in turn increases the chances of a crash.
Polaris will contact the owners of the 254 affected units asking them to bring their Slingshots to their nearest dealerships. Dealers will replace the affected nuts and bolts free of charge and will ensure the new parts are as tight as regulations state they need to be.

The Polaris Slingshot looks like a lot of a fun but you wouldn't want to go drifting with just one wheel at the back. The Mercedes E-Class Estate though comes with a drift mode, so you can take the family and the dog for a bit of tyre smoking fun.
