Petrol And Diesel Prices Hiked; Effective June First
Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked, effective June 1. Petrol will now cost Rs 1.23 more and diesel by 89 paise.
The Indian Oil Corporation has announced that petrol will be costlier by Rs 1.23 per litre and diesel by 89 paise, effective Thursday, June 1.
Other oil retailers such as Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum will also follow the same trend.

In a statement, the Indian Oil Corporation said, The current level of international product prices of Petrol & Diesel and INR-USD exchange rate warrant decrease in selling price of Petrol and Diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision."
Petrol and diesel last saw a hike in price on May 1, when the price of petrol was hiked by 1 paise per litre and diesel by 44 paise per litre.
