Nissan Terrano Facelift India Launch Date Revealed
Nissan Terrano facelift will be launched in India on March 27, 2017. The facelifted Terrano will get minor exterior updates and bigger changes in the interiors.
Nissan India has announced that they will launch the facelifted Nissan Terrano SUV in India on March 27, 2017.
Nissan claims the new facelifted Terrano SUV is now bolder and stylish, is expected to come with several exterior changes and some new features as well. The interiors will witness most of the changes on the Terrano facelift.
Mechanically, the Terrano facelift will remain the same. Nissan had launched the AMT version of the Terrano back in October 2016, and now with the facelift, the company is looking to position the SUV as more of a contemporary SUV compared to its competitors.
The facelifted Nissan Terrano will receive a redesigned front featuring new LED daytime running lights, restyled headlamps, as well as a revised front bumper.
As for the side profile of the Terrano facelift, we expect the SUV to remain unchanged saving a set of new alloy wheels. The rear profile of the new Terrano will receive updates such as new LED taillamps and a refreshed bumper.
The significant changes, though, could be inside the cabin as the facelifted Terrano may feature a touchscreen infotainment system and an automatic climate control unit. Regarding safety, Nissan could launch the new SUV with ABS with EBD and dual airbags.
Under the hood, the 2017 Nissan Terrano will not receive any mechanical updates and continue to be powered by the same 1.5-litre diesel engine that comes in two states of tune 84bhp and 200Nm of torque and the more powerful version developing 108bhp and 243Nm of torque.
The 108bhp mill comes with the choice of either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an AMT unit while the 84bhp model gets a 5-speed manual unit as standard.
There is also a petrol variant of the Terrano which is powered by a 1.6-litre K4M motor that churns out 103bhp and 145Nm of torque, while paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
