Nissan Leaf Nismo Concept Revealed Ahead Of Tokyo Debut
Nisaan has revealed the Leaf Nismo Concept ahead of its debut at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
Japanese automaker Nissan has revealed the Leaf Nismo concept ahead of its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 25, 2017.
The new second-generation Leaf was recently unveiled, and it was reported that Nissan was working on a hot version of the all-electric hatchback.
The Leaf Nismo Concept model is finished in white colour and features typical Nismo treatment with the body kit and red accents. The concept is wider as opposed to the regular Leaf and is equipped with aerodynamic package.
The front end of the Leaf Nismo Concept features beefier bumper with spoiler lip and horizontal LED headlamps as opposed to the trapezoidal shape of the standard model. The bonnet gets black section which enhances the sporty appeal of the hatchback.

The rear of the sporty electric hatchback gets aggressively designed diffuser with integrated fog light at the centre similar to the rain light of Formula One cars. Complementing the looks is the Nismo badging at the rear right side.
The Nissan Leaf Nismo Concept is equipped with Nismo-branded alloy wheels shod with high-performance tyres. Nissan has also tweaked the suspension setup to improve handling, and as a result the ride height is slightly decreased.
Not much has changed inside the cabin. The interior of the Leaf Nismo Concept features red accents around air vents, seat upholstery and door panels. The start button on the centre console with Nismo logo reminds you that it's not the regular Leaf.
Apart from the cosmetic updates, the concept model aims to provide instant acceleration at all speeds thanks to the custom-tuned computer. Nissan has not revealed any technical bits of the hot hatch.
The regular variant of the Leaf is equipped with a 148bhp electric motor powered by a 40kWh battery pack delivering a driving range of 379km on a single charge. Nissan will also introduce a powerful battery pack to increase the range to 500km.
