The Kicks will be slotted above the Terrano and will take on the upcoming Renault Captur which is also based on the same platform. Nissan has not revealed the technical details of the new compact SUV.

The Kicks is likely to draw power from a 1.5-litre diesel engine or the 1.6-litre motor developed for the Captur. Nissan might also offer the recently introduced 1.5-litre petrol engine on the Duster with a CVT gearbox.
