Next-Generation Honda Amaze To Be Sharper In Design & More Spacious
Next-generation Honda Amaze to be sharper in design and more spacious.
Honda Cars India is expected to showcase the second-generation Amaze sub-compact sedan at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi.
Ahead of its official reveal, the next-generation Honda has said that the new Amaze will be more upmarket and luxurious than the current generation, reports Autocar India. The Japanese company has said that the new Amaze will be a premium vehicle along with a luxurious interior.

The Honda Amaze was the first product from the Indian subsidiary which was developed for the mass market segment; however, the compact sedan drew flak over its interior. Though the company did revise the dashboard design with the facelifted Amaze, it did little to increase its upmarket touch.

Now, Honda is looking to offer the second-generation Amaze with a premium and an upmarket feel. The new Amaze is expected to feature more sophisticated dashboard design and higher quality materials.
Also, the carmaker will enhance the cabin dimension by increasing the width, which would make the rear seat more spacious. With a bigger cabin, the new Amaze will have the edge over its immediate competitors.

Honda will continue to employ the current model's chassis for the next-gen Amaze and keep the length under the four-metre mark. Also, the sedan will borrow some of the styling details from the City sedan. Among the expected changes are a chrome front grille, angular headlamps, and sharper detail.

Mechanically, the next-gen Amaze will continue to be powered by the same 1.2 i-VTEC petrol and 1.5 i-DTEC engines as the current model. Honda is expected to add an automatic variant to the new Amaze as well.
The next-generation Honda Amaze is expected to go on sale from 2018 in India.

DriveSpark Thinks!
The next-gen Honda Amaze is expected to be sharper and spacious; this is indeed an excellent approach from Honda. The current model is not the Honda car that we all hope it to be.
