Next-Gen Jeep Cherokee Revealed Ahead Of Detroit Debut
Jeep has revealed the 2018 Cherokee SUV ahead of its public debut at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has revealed the next-generation Jeep Cherokee SUV ahead of its public debut at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show in January.
FCA states that the new 2018 Cherokee sports premium design and styling, new features and fuel-efficient engine options.
Similar to the currently sold model, the next-gen Cherokee will be slotted below the Grand Cherokee and above the new Compass. Jeep has not revealed the technical specifications of the new SUV and has stated that the complete reveal will be held at Detroit Auto Show.

The prominent highlight of the new Cherokee is the newly designed front fascia featuring larger and stylish headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights and turn indicators. The SUV now comes with a rounded nose with the Jeep logo and signature seven-slat grille with chrome garnish.
The front bumper has been redesigned and sports muscular lines which enhance the aggressive stance of the 2018 Cherokee. The air dam is larger which houses the mesh grille, the large fog lamps with chrome bezels complete the design of the front profile.
The rear section of the 2018 Cherokee features newly designed tail lamp cluster, redesigned bumper with silver diffuser and dual chrome-tipped exhaust and roof-mounted spoiler with integrated brake light.
The interior of the new Cherokee is similar to the Compass with slightly different dashboard theme featuring larger air vents, upgraded centre console and steering wheel. Jeep might also offer larger and comfortable seats.
Jeep has not revealed the engine details of the 2018 Cherokee, but the new SUV is likely to draw power from the new 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine and a new 2.4-litre petrol engine. Jeep will also offer the Trailhawk edition of the Cherokee with a black band on the bonnet and black bumper with tow hooks and high-mounted fog lights.
Apart from that, the new Jeep Cherokee is equipped with larger alloy wheels, black underbody cladding and bigger roof rails. The new Cherokee will go on sale in the global market by the end of 2018.
