Next-Gen Hyundai Verna Wins Indian Car Of The Year (ICOTY) 2018 Award
Next-gen Hyundai Verna has won the prestigious Indian Car Of The Year (ICOTY) 2018 Award.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), the country's second largest car manufacturer has won the prestigious Indian Car of the Year 2018 (ICOTY) award for the next-gen Verna.
In total, Hyundai has won five ICOTY awards for its products: Verna, Creta, Elite i20, Grand i10 and i10 for the year 2018, 2016, 2015, 2014 and 2008 respectively.

The next-gen Hyundai Verna was adjudged as the winner of the ICOTY 2018 by the panel of 18 jury members from prominent automotive publications in the country. The Chairman and MD, JK Tyre & Industries Limited, Raghupati Singhania handed over the ICOTY trophy to Y.K. Koo, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India.
Hyundai launched the new next-gen Verna in India in August 2017, and since then the sedan has been one of the best-selling cars in the country. Within a month of its launch, the new Verna received more than 7,000 bookings.

The new Verna is offered with two engine options, a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel engine. The mid-size sedan also sports best-in-class features such as hands-free boot door open, cooled seats and much more.
Commenting on the occasion, Y.K. Koo said, "We are honoured to win the most prestigious automotive award - ‘Indian Car of the Year 2018' for our Make-in-India, Made-for-the-World product- next-gen Verna. Launched in August 2017, the next-gen Verna has become a trendsetter in the Indian market and heralded a new chapter in Hyundai's success story across the world."
