All-New Volkswagen Polo Teased Ahead Of Global Debut
German carmaker Volkswagen has teased the all-new Polo ahead of its global debut.
German automaker Volkswagen is all set to debut the new-gen Polo hatchback. Ahead of that the company has teased the new Polo.
The all-new Polo will make its global debut on June 16, 2017, at a special event in Berlin. Ahead of that the automaker has teased two images of the new-gen hatchback.

The two teaser images of the new Polo reveal the headlamp and taillamp of the hatchback. The angular headlamp features daytime running light. The new front grille gets chrome detailing. The bonnet and the front bumper have been revamped.

The second teaser photo reveals the rear section of the car. A shoulder line runs through the body of the new Polo. The hatchback is equipped with new diamond cut alloy wheels.

The new-generation Polo is based on the Volkswagen Group's flexible MQB platform. The company has also confirmed that the new Polo is more spacious compared to the outgoing model.

Klaus Bischoff, Head of Design Volkswagen Brand said, "This Volkswagen can immediately be made out as the original of its class, but also as a completely new generation. A Polo with an expressive design which makes the compact sportier, cleaner and unique within the brand range."

The new-gen Polo will be offered with turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. The new hatchback is likely to draw power from a 1-litre and a 1.5-litre petrol engine. The diesel variant will be equipped with a 1.6-litre diesel motor.

The new-generation Polo is expected to hit the Indian shores in 2018. Globally, the new hatchback will go on sale by the second fiscal of 2017.
