Czech auto major Skoda has revealed the India launch date for the new Octavia. The premium sedan will be launched on July 13, 2017.

The facelifted 2017 Octavia comes with a host of updates as opposed to the outgoing model. The sedan will also come with subtle mechanical changes. The bookings for the new Octavia have already commenced.

New Skoda Octavia India Launch Date Revealed

The 2017 Skoda Octavia features all-new signature front grille, split headlamps and LED daytime running lights. The front bumper has been redesigned and blends well with the new grille.

The side profile and the rear section of the new Octavia remain identical compared to the previous model. The only changes can be seen is the new alloy wheels and subtle changes to the rear bumper and tail light cluster.

The interior of the updated sedan is likely to feature new 3-spoke steering wheel, 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and a panoramic sunroof.

On the mechanical front, the new Octavia will be powered by the existing 1.4-litre and 1.8-litre petrol engines and a 2-litre oil burner. The transmission options include 6-speed manual gearbox, 7-speed DSG and 6-speed automatic transmission.

The facelifted Skoda Octavia will lock horns with the likes of Toyota Corolla Altis, 2017 Hyundai Elantra and Volkswagen Jetta. The sedan is likely to carry a price a price tag of around Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
