New Renault Duster spotted testing and is expected to launch late 2018 or early 2019.
New Renault Duster has been spotted testing which has been codenamed as HJD. The next-generation Duster is expected to be launched late 2018 or early 2019.
Some reports suggest that Renault-Nissan's CMF-B platform will underpin the new Duster. Other reports indicate that the nex-generation Duster will continue to use the current BO/ Logan platform but with small modifications.

Renault might utilise the BO/ Logan platform for developing markets and will use the CMF-B platform for developed markets. The overall design and features are expected to remain more or less the same.

From the spy images, the new Renault Duster's bonnet is seen with chunky and beefy lines; the headlamp cluster is a lot flatter compared to the current model. The front grille has received minor tweaks as well.

The next-generation Duster will also receive few changes to its interiors and will get extra features as well. The biggest changes or expectations is if the new Duster will be offered as a 7-seater vehicle.

From the spy images of the new Duster, the quarter glasses and the rear windscreen have been camouflaged extensively and could suggest a third row in the new Duster. The current Renault Duster boasts of a massive boot space, and this could accommodate the third row.

As for the engine specification of the new Renault Duster, the compact SUV might receive a new 1.6-litre diesel which could offer higher power output and more efficient. The company could offer a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol unit as well.

The current Duster sold in India is offered in both petrol and diesel models. Both employ a 1.5-litre engine, but the diesel is offered in two states of tunes.
