New Porsche Cayenne India Launch Details Revealed
Porsche is all set to launch the new third-gen Cayenne SUV in the Indian market.
German automaker Porsche is all set to introduce the new Cayenne SUV in the Indian market. Autocar India reports that the third-gen SUV will be launched in India by June 2018.
Porsche is yet to reveal the technical details of the new Cayenne in India, but we expect the automaker to introduce few new engine options.
The new Porsche Cayenne will retain the 3-litre V6 diesel engine, and a 4-litre V8 oil burner could be offered in the Cayenne S variant. The SUV is also expected to get few petrol engine options.

The petrol iteration of the Cayenne and Cayenne S draws power from a newly developed V6 petrol engines delivering power to all the four wheels via a new 8-speed automatic gearbox. The 3-litre turbocharged petrol engine on the standard Cayenne is good for 335bhp and 450Nm of torque.

Powering the new Cayenne S is the more powerful 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine churning out 433bhp and 550Nm of torque. The top-spec Cayenne Turbo is powered by a 4-litre V8 engine producing 542bhp. Porsche is also considering to bring the hybrid variant of the SUV to India.
On the design front, the new Cayenne is similar to the outgoing model in terms of exterior design. But the interior has been overhauled with a new dashboard which looks similar to the latest iteration of the Panamera.

In fact, the Cayenne is outselling the Macan SUV despite being bigger and expensive. Now, with the new Cayenne, Porsche is aiming to grow its market share in the country.
