2017 Nissan Micra India Launch Date Confirmed
Nissan is all set to launch the updated Micra in the Indian market. The new car will be equipped with new features.
Japanese automaker Nissan is all set to launch the updated 2017 Micra in the Indian market. The company has already teased the car on its social media pages.
Nissan will launch the updated Micra in India on June 2, 2017. The global markets will get the fifth-gen Micra, whereas the Indian market will receive the same car with few minor updates.
The new Nissan Micra will be identical to the outgoing model regarding design. But the 2017 model will be equipped with new features The company has posted few teaser images before the launch.
By looking at the teaser images, the new Micra is likely to get rain sensing wipers, parking sensors and rear parking camera. The interior is expected to feature a new touchscreen infotainment system.
On the design front, the 2017 Micra is expected to remain unchanged except for some minor tweaks. With the new features, the dashboard layout might be updated, but the overall design will remain the same.
The new Micra will draw power from the existing 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol motor produces 76bhp, whereas the oil burner churns out 63bhp. Both the engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. A CVT gearbox is offered as an option on the petrol variant.
Nissan is likely to hike the price of the new Micra by Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 over the price of the currently sold model. The facelifted Micra will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and Honda Brio.
