Mitsubishi India has listed the new Outlander SUV on its website giving rise to the speculation of its imminent launch in India.

The new Mitsubishi Outlander features the company's "Dynamic Shield" front profile design language. Mitsubishi claims the aerodynamic front and roof is designed to reduce the coefficient of drag by 7 percent.

The twin-slat front grille is finished in chrome which is edged by revised headlamps. The new Outlander also receives new interior with piano black trim around the centre console.

The company has revealed the some of the features on the new Outlander which is likely to be offered with CVT gearbox and comes with Sports Mode and Paddle Shifters.

Also, the new SUV will come with an electronically controlled four-wheel drive system, ABS with EBD, active stability control, hill start assists, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, among others.

Additionally, the all-new Outlander receives automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers, LED headlamps and fog lamps, Rockford Fosgate audio system with a 6.1-inch touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control and keyless entry.

When launched, the new Mitsubishi Outlander will rival the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, and the Volkswagen Tiguan.

The new Mitsubishi Outlander is a lot sharper and aerodynamic compared to the current model. This should help the SUV gain better performance and position itself above its competitors. That said, Mitsubishi hasbeen witnessing downward sales in India and the company hopes to regain its position with the new Outlander.
