2017 New Maruti Dzire Bookings Open; Launch Imminent
The new or the next-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be launched in India in May 2017; will continue to be powered by the same drivetrain as the outgoing model.
The all-new Maruti Dzire will arrive in India in the coming months ahead of the Swift hatchback. The next-generation Maruti Dzire will receive significant cosmetic upgrades compared to the outgoing model.
Also, the new Dzire is expected to offer more equipment to buyers. As per AutoCar India, The dealers of Maruti Suzuki has started accepting unofficial bookings with an amount of Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.
So what does the new Dzire offer compared to the old model, here are few important changes:
Compared to the next-generation Swift, the new Dzire receives minor altercations at the front, although most of the styling is similar. The rear profile of the Dzire looks akin to the first-generation Dzire with a bigger looking boot lid.
Apart from the comparison, the Maruti Dzire features daytime running lights along with projector headlamps, presumably LEDs. A redesigned bumper, chrome garnish on the front grille, shark-fin antenna and the possible LED tail lamps.
Inside the cabin, it receives dual tone black and beige upholstery, flat-bottom steering and the new Suzuki's SmartPlay 7.0-inch infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Mechanically, the new Maruti Dzire will continue to be powered by the same engine as the outgoing model. 2017 Maruti Dzire will be powered by the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel and the 1.2-litre K-series petrol engines.
Pricing of the new Maruti Dzire will be slightly higher compared to the current or the outgoing model. Once launched it will rival the likes of the newly launched Tata Tigor and the refreshed Hyundai Xcent.
