Hyundai Teases The Next-Generation Verna In A Video
Hyundai India has teased the new Verna sedan in a video revealing its design language and features.
In the run up to the exciting launch of the new Hyundai Verna, the South Korean company has been teasing us with images of the sedan. Now, Hyundai has revealed a new video teaser of the new-generation Verna.
In the video teaser, Hyundai reveals the silhouette of the new Verna, which is similar to the Elantra, but bolder and chiselled. There is also an emphasis on the LED lightings of the head and taillights of the new Verna, which will be the main highlight of the new-generation Verna.
The new Verna receives a sweeping roof profile and the distinctive character line running the length of the sedan where it meets the sporty and sleek rear LED taillights.
The new Verna is expected to come with a host of features such as either a 5- or 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which will double up as navigation and reverse parking camera display.
The all-new Verna is 29mm wider, the overall length has been increased by 15mm, and the wheelbase is 10mm wider indicating a spacious cabin.
Under the bonnet, the new Verna will get the same 1.4-litre petrol engine and 1.6-litre diesel unit. While the petrol engine will churn out 100bhp, the diesel engine will develop 122bhp.
Both the powertrains will come with two gearbox option of a 5-speed and a 6-speed manual gearbox. Also on offer will be a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
Prices for the new Hyundai Verna is expected to be in the range of Rs 8.5 lakh to Rs 14 lakh based on variants. And will rival the likes of Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and the Skoda Rapid in India.

The Hyundai Verna had a good run in the Indian market, but of late it lost its sheen as it lacked features and technology. With the new Verna, we can expect a host of features we can be treated to.
