2017 Hyundai Verna Variants Explained In Detail — Make An Informed Choice
New Hyundai Verna variants explained in detail.
Hyundai launched the new Verna in India with several updates to its exterior, interior and is loaded with new features. The 2017 Hyundai Verna is built on a new platform resulting in a roomier cabin compared to the previous model.
Hyundai is offering two engine options on the new Verna: 1.6-litre petrol unit generating 121bhp and 151Nm of torque, while the diesel model also comes with a 1.6-litre engine which produces 126bhp and 260Nm of torque. Both the units come paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The new Hyundai Verna's base variant is E and is available with a choice of both petrol and diesel engines. The E variant of the new Verna misses out on automatic gearbox.

2017 Hyundai Verna EX
With both petrol and diesel models available on the Verna EX variant, it also comes with the choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Apart from what the Verna E variant is featured with, the EX comes with a host of premium features.
However, it misses out on projector headlamps, no alloy wheels for the manual gearbox model, DRLs, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link and the electric sunroof.

Hyundai is offering the automatic gearbox only on the diesel model in the Verna SX variant, while the petrol comes with the option of both manual and automatic gearbox. The Verna EX variant though misses out on some of the luxurious features.Features such as side and curtain airbags, smart key with push button start, ventilated seats, power sunroof and manually adjustable rear curtain on the manual gearbox model.

The Verna SX (O) is the top variant of the executive sedan; this variant though misses out the manual gearbox for the diesel model, but that's negligible since you are getting the automatic gearbox.

The variants of the new Hyundai Verna are well balanced regarding features. Although we feel to cut the severe competition in the exceutive sedan segment, Hyundai should have offered the automatic gearbox as standard across variants of the new Verna.
