All-New BMW X3 Debut Date Revealed
The new BMW X3 will be unveiled on June 26, 2017; features new powertrain options.
The new BMW X3 will be unveiled on June 26, 2017, at the automaker's Spartanburg plant in the US.
The new X3 SUV will be longer, wider and roomier on the inside, while also being lighter and stiffer compared to the outgoing model.
The all-new BMW X3 will be available with new engine options, ranging from the new B48 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder to the B58 3.0-litre turbo inline-six. The latter will be employed in the upcoming X3 M40i variant.
The new X3 will also be offered with the latest hybrid powertrain option that couples a turbocharged 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol unit with an electric motor.
Although the profile remains broadly similar to the old model, redesigned bumpers and more muscular rear profile will be the defining features in the new SUV. The Bavarian's signature kidney grille at the front will be sided by a pair of sharper LED headlights.
Although the new X3 is expected to go on sale globally in 2018, BMW India is yet to announce if and when it will be available in India. The company recently updated its product portfolio in India with the X3 now no longer available with its range-topping in-line six-cylinder oil burner equipped M-Sport variant.
DriveSpark Thinks!
BMW has been on an overdrive to clinch back its top position from Mercedes-Benz and to do that; the company needs to bring the new X3 to other markets such as India. India's automobile market in growing by leaps and bounds, the new X3 will put a spanner in the works of its immediate rivals.
