The new MPV is called as Xpander, and it will be showcased at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show in August. The MPV features Mitsubishi's Dynamic Shield Design language.
The Xpander sports LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lights and chrome door handles. The leaked brochure also reveals the all-black interior along with the dual-tone black-beige interior.
The interior of the Xpander features touchscreen infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel and colour MID. The MPV also features keyless entry and headlights will be lit for 30 seconds after you get out of the vehicle.
Mitsubishi Xpander is equipped with the new version of the 1.5-litre MIVEC four-cylinder petrol engine. The motor churns out 103bhp and 141Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
The Mitsubishi Xpander will be launched in Indonesia later this year. Mitsubishi has not revealed its plans to launch the MPV in any other markets. But if the automaker plans to bring the Xpander to India, it will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Renault Lodgy.
