Mitsubishi Expander MPV Teased Ahead Of Debut
Mitsubishi has revealed the teaser images of the Expander MPV ahead of its global debut.
Japanese automaker Mitsubishi is all set to reveal its new MPV named as the Expander. The three-row MPV will make its global debut at the 2017 Indonesian Auto Show in Jakarta next month.
Ahead of that, Mitsubishi has revealed the teaser images of the new MPV. The front fascia of the Expander features multiple-slat grille and LED daytime running lights.
Taking a closer look at the image reveals that the headlamps are below the LED daytime running lights on the front bumper. The fog lamp or the cornering light sits below the headlamp.
The Mitsubishi Expander MPV features Dynamic Shield design language seen on the Pajero Sport SUV. Previously, the MPV was showcased as Mitsubishi XM concept. The production-spec Expander will be offered in a 7-seat or 8-seat configuration.
As per emerging reports, the Expander will draw power from a 1.5-litre petrol engine. Mitsubishi will not offer a diesel motor or the all-wheel-drive system with the MPV.
DriveSpark Thinks!
Mitsubishi has not revealed its plans to introduce the Expander in India. But a diesel engine is a must if at all Mitsubishi wants to launch the MPV in India. The MPV is likely to lock horns with the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta and Renault Lodgy in the Indian market.
