The upcoming facelifted Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been revealed on the interweb ahead of its official debut next month.

The leaked images (courtesy of Saudishift) show the new S-Class in all its glory. The images show that in terms of looks, the new S-Class isn't that different from the current car.

The major changes include redesigned bumpers, revamped ‘Multibeam' LED headlamps and tweaked tail light design and new exhaust tip trims.

Inside, the new S-Class sedan sports a three-spoke steering wheel from the Coupe. The infotainment displays seem to have grown in size as well. The new system is also expected to sport gesture controls like the BMW 7 Series.

The new S-Class will sport a new set of inline six-cylinder engines with the new 48V system and an integrated starter-alternator. Also present will be the usual sway of V8s and even V12s for the top spec AMG car.

The car seen in the images sports a very interesting name - S560. That numerical designation was last seen on the iconic W126. The new S560 will replace the 550 with Merc's 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 replacing the old 4.7-litre unit.
