Spy Pics: Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift Spotted Testing In India
Mercedes-Benz is all set to introduce the S-Class facelift in India.
German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is all set to introduce the S-Class facelift in the Indian market in 2018.
Ahead of that Autocar India has spotted the S-Class facelift undergoing testing on Indian roads with special test equipment.
The spotted Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift is finished in white colour and is equipped with special apparatus, which suggests that the car is undergoing emission testing. The 2018 S-Class will be a minor facelift, and the overall design will be identical to the currently sold model.

On the exterior, the new facelifted S-Class sedan will feature new headlamps, tail lamp cluster and redesigned front and rear bumpers. Apart from that, the overall design remains the same as the 2017 model.
The interior of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift will also feature several updates. The interior will sport a new 12.3-inch high-definition screen and new leather and wood options for interior trim and seats. Apart from that the new model will also get ventilated seats with seat fragrance function.
On the mechanical front, the new updated S-Class will draw power from an all-new 3-litre straight-six diesel engine which will replace the current 3-litre V6 engine found on the 350d models. The 3-litre V6 will make a comeback in India with more power output.
Mercedes-Benz will offer the S-Class facelift in all the three body-types, sedan, coupe and convertible. India is also expected to get the new AMG version of the same. The new S-Class will be assembled in India.

Mercedes-Benz is readying the new S-Class facelift for the Indian market and is undergoing emission testing. The new S-Class comes with subtle changes to the exterior and interior design, but the overall design remains the same. The S-Class facelift is expected to be launched in India by early-2018.
