2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Interior Spied Ahead Of Indian Launch
The E-Class LWB is offered with a 12-inch COMAND touchscreen infotainment system in the International market.
Mercedes-Benz India has confirmed that it will launch the 2017 Mercedes E-Class LWB in India on February 28. But ahead of its launch, spy shots of the interior has been leaked on the internet.
A couple of interior image of the E-Class LWB was posted by IndianAutosBlog revealing the all black layout. Yes, the interior is literally black with black leather upholstery, black wood trim embellished with chrome accents.
It is also reported that the carmaker will offer the long wheelbase model in two interior colour combinations, which are, a dual-tone beige and black, and a blacked-out interior as shown in the image.
India is also the first market to get the right hand drive (RHD) E-Class LWB. Due to the long wheelbase, the rear legroom has increased tremendously and businessmen who want to enjoy the Mercedes luxury with creature comforts will prefer this model.
The E-Class LWB is offered with a 12-inch COMAND touchscreen infotainment system in the International market, however, the India-spec model will only get the standard instrument cluster.
Mercedes India will offer the E-Class LWB in two variants; E200 petrol and E 350 d. Powering the E 200 will be a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol motor that delivers 181bhp of power and 300Nm of torque.
The E 350 d variant will be equipped with a 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder powerplant that produces 254bhp of power and 620Nm of torque. Both the oil burners will come paired with a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission.
