Mercedes-Benz Donates Cleaning Truck To Delhi Municipal Council
Mercedes-Benz has donated a cleaning truck to the Delhi Municipal Council in a bid to fight air pollution.
India's leading luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz today donated a state-of-the-art vacuum cleaning truck to the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) as part of its Corporate Social initiatives.
The Bharat Benz-based Road Sweeper truck will play a key role in reducing dust levels in Delhi by vacuum cleaning the roads.
As road dust is cited as one of the key contributors of air pollution in Delhi, the deployment of the Mercedes-Benz Road Sweeper truck will help in making Delhi's roads and air cleaner.
The truck is based on a Bharat Benz 1214R medium-duty platform and the sweeper truck is manufactured by Roots, India's largest indigenous manufacturer of cleaning machines and cleaning equipment.
The truck combines maneuverability, efficiency, and reliability while offering superior sweeping quality for road and industrial cleaning. The truck is the cleanest product in its category in terms of vehicular emissions owing to Bharat Benz' BS-IV solution based on proven SCR technology.
