World's largest luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is getting into package deliveries with a drone. Last year, the manufacturer announced a multi-million dollar investment in drone startup Matternet, the creator of an autonomous drone.

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Mercedes will a total of $562 million over the next five years. Recently, the manufacturer also showcased an autonomous van concept and demonstrated its vision for a futuristic drone delivery service.

Recently UPS also unveiled a hybrid truck with a drone nest built on the roof. The drone used will be a Workhorse HorseFly autonomous drone that can carry 10 pounds worth of packages.
