AMG GT Family Hits The Production Line — Time To Go AMG GT R Spotting?
The production of the AMG GT models has started at the Mercedes-Benz factory in Sindelfingen.
The production for the Mercedes-AMG GT R, GT Roadster, and the GT C Roadster have started at the Mercedes-Benz factory in Sindelfingen. These models will be assembled in a handcrafted manner in the plant, with the help of experienced specialists.

The life of these handbuilt cars begins after they leave the paint shop. After they are painted, they get their roofs mounted with precision tools and expert craftsmen. Each car gets its components straight to the production line in order wise.

The orderly system does not allow any potential error or confusion in the process. There is a team of 10 members who work on the car. From fitting the drivetrain to the car's body, all 10 workers are needed to make this happen in an orderly manner.

Speaking of the cars a bit, the Mercedes-AMG GT R gets a massive twin-turbo, V-8 engine under its hood. The engine can pump out 577 bhp of power and around 700 Nm of peak torque. The engine also features - a revised intake, new forged aluminum pistons, and a higher compression ratio for better performance.

The Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster gets a 4.0-liter, V-8, twin turbo with a direct injection engine. It is capable of producing 462.55 bhp of power and 630 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to an AMG Speedshift DCT 7-speed dual clutch gearbox which transmits the power to the rear wheels.

On the other hand, the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster get the same 4.0-liter, V-8, twin turbochargers and direct injection engine, but, in a higher state of tune. It produces 543 bhp of power and nearly 680Nm of peak torque. It also transmits power to the rear wheels via the AMG Speedshift DCT 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.

Just like any other performance car, each roadster will be dynamically tested at the factory. In this case, a few lucky employees get to do test drives at the Sindelfingen in-house track.

All the three new Mercedes-AMG GT models are expected to launch in the second half of 2017. People who are willing to buy any of the three cars can place the bookings online.
