Maruti Suzuki New WagonR VXi+: Key Features
Maruti Suzuki is offering a new top variant VXi+ on the WagonR; there are changes to its exterior and features.
Maruti Suzuki's one of the consistent performer is the WagonR hatchback and is among the top four selling cars in India. Now, the company has launched an all-new variant -- VXi+ -- for the WagonR loaded with additional features. Why would the company refresh a well-established model with additional features?

Maruti Suzuki has positioned the WagonR with a lucrative pricing since the time it was launched back in 1999. The company feels the new WagonR VXi+ has been introduced to meet customers demands, for whom styling, along with comfort, convenience and advanced safety features are their main priorities. Here are the key features on the new WagonR VXi+:

Exterior And Interior
Maruti has not facelifted the WagonR VXi+, but it is the updated version of the sportier Stingray version which was introduced back in 2013 in the country. Up front, the WagonR VXi+ features a stylish chrome design element at the centre edged by wraparound projector headlamps. The front bumper is large and houses the 4-slat hexagonal grille and circular fog lamps around the plastic cladding.

On the side, the new WagonR sports side skirts, blacked out B-pillar and stylish alloy wheels, still maintaining its tall boy and boxy design language. Moving inside the cabin, the new top variant of the WagonR comes with new dual-tone black and beige interior with beige upholstery along with piano black finished panels.

Features
Maruti is offering additional features on the WagonR VXi+ variant such as dual airbags, Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution System (EBD), as optional. There is also a new colour option of Midnight Blue along with the existing Breeze Blue, Passion Red, Silky silver, Grey, White and Chocolate.

Engine And Gearbox
The engine specifications remain the same for the new WagonR VXi+ variant. Powering the new WagonR is the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engine which produces 67bhp and 90Nm of torque. The motor is paired either with the 5-speed manual or Maruti's automated manual gearbox unit Automatic Gear Shift (AGS), as optional.
