Spied: 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport; Features Massive Body Kit

The images of the 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport test mule were uploaded by Ferd Facebook page and the vehicle was spotted in Morainvilliers, France. The sports version of the popular hatchback is expected to debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The test mule spotted was heavily camouflaged, but we can see from the given pictures that it features a sporty body kit, stylish front bumper, blacked out alloy wheels and big dual exhausts at the back.

Inside, the model could feature all-black design embellished with chrome accents. Volkswagen is also readying its next-gen Polo GTI hot hatch which is expected to hit the global market this year. So, Suzuki will also tweak the engine to provide more performance to heat up the battle with VW Polo GTI.

According to some reports, the 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport will be equipped with several engine options in the international market. In some markets, the Swift will be offered with 1.0-litre BoosterJet three-cylinder petrol engine, while others will get a new hybrid powertrain.

The top-of-the-line version of the Suzuki Swift Sport will come equipped with a 1.4-litre BoosterJet four-cylinder petrol engine, which also does duty in the Vitara and S-Cross.

Several rumours have emerged on the internet recently stating that Maruti Suzuki will consider the 2017 Swift Sport for India. If this rings true, the India-spec model will be powered by a 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol motor that delivers 100bhp of power and 150Nm of torque.
