The Suzuki Swift Sport has been revealed at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Suzuki Swift Sport is the sportier version of the Maruti Swift expected to arrive in India in 2018 at the Delhi Auto Expo.

The new Swift Sport from Suzuki sports a turbocharged engine for the first time with a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine replacing the 1.6-litre naturally aspirated powerplant found in the previous generation hot hatchback.

The 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine produces 138bhp at 5,500rpm and 230Nm at 2,500-3,500rpm. The Swift Sport's engine sends its power to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The new Swift Sport from Suzuki weighs in at just 970 kilos, which is 80kg lighter than its predecessor and is 50mm longer than the regular Swift at 3,890mm. The wheelbase and width have also increased by 20mm and 40mm respectively.
The Swift Sport also features a new suspension setup and has 120mm of ground clearance which is 15mm less than the last Sport.

In terms of design, the new Suzuki Swift Sport gets a revised front bumper, along with a new grille and front splitter. The new Swift Sport also gets new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels along with a sporty black diffuser at the rear with exhaust pipes sticking out of either side.

Inside, the Suzuki Swift Sport gets Sports seats with red contrast stitching along with a leather wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, red dials in the instrument binnacle and red trim pieces. Also present is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth connectivity.
