Most Popular Car & Bike In India Revealed
The most popular car and bike in India are Maruti Suzuki Swift and Bajaj Pulsar respectively on online platforms, as per a study by online automobile transactional marketplace Droom.
The Maruti Swift and Bajaj Pulsar are the most popular car and bike on online platforms. A survey carried out by Droom; an online automobile transactional marketplace revealed the most favourite vehicle in the country.
The study was based on Droom's analysis of its platform database to understand the customer behaviour on its portal. The result found Swift hatchback was followed closely by Toyota Innova and Honda City.
The Maruti Swift topped the list for the second year in a row; the company also scored over its rivals regarding overall body make.
In the motorcycle segment, Bajaj Pulsar steered cleared of its competitors and declared as the most popular bike on online platforms. The Pulsar was followed closely by Hero Passion Pro and Bajaj Discover.
The Bajaj Pulsar is offered in different engine specifications ranging from 135cc to 200cc. Bajaj Auto is first to offer Bharat Stage IV on all its vehicles in India ahead of April 1, 2017, deadline.
Maruti Suzuki Swift offered in both petrol and diesel powertrains has been among the top 5 selling four-wheeler in India close to two years. While the petrol unit is a 1.2-litre K-Series four-cylinder engine, the diesel mill is a 1.3-litre DDiS four-cylinder engine.
Honda Activa emerged as the most popular scooter in the study beating Suzuki Access and Honda Aviator.
The study or the trends were identified from Droom's platform data corresponding to the 2015-16 period.
