Maruti Suzuki Ignis Begins With A Bang In Its First Month Of Sale
Maruti has sold more than 4,800 units of the Ignis within 3 weeks of its launch and has overtaken the Mahindra KUV100 in the compact entry-level crossover segment.
Even before the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, the hype around the entry-level crossover was overwhelming. The Ignis was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo held in Delhi and was subsequently launched in January 2017.
Within three weeks of its launch, the Maruti Ignis has garnered sales of more than 4,800 units and the numbers are expected to increase. The popularity of the retro-modern designed Ignis has only led to the huge sales of the vehicle from the country's largest car manufacturer.
Maruti Suzuki is offering the Ignis through its premium outlet, NEXA, this means the Ignis comes with standard fitment of dual airbags, ABS, 15-inch alloy wheels, seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters, and ISOFIX for child seat along with front and rear impact shield.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis was the first to be offered with an online booking option and the first week saw nearly 11,000 bookings. Maruti Suzuki is targeting millennials -- born in the late 80s and early 90s -- with the Ignis.
The Ignis comes with stylish LED projector headlamps, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with themirror link app, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to cater young buyers.
Also, the Ignis is available in both petrol and diesel engine along with AMT gearbox as an option. To cater to young buyers, Maruti has launched the Ignis with a competitive price tag starting at Rs 4.59 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
