Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS Launch On March 3; All You Need To Know
Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS is expected to come with a price tag of around Rs 8 lakh to Rs 9 lakh.
India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is ready to launch the go-faster version of the premium hatchback Baleno. The Baleno RS will be company's second launch of the year 2017 after the Ignis which was launched on January 13.

According to a report by GaadiWaadi, Maruti Suzuki will launch the Baleno RS in the country on March 3. The model was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. The RS version of premium hatchback will also be sold through the NEXA dealerships.

The go-faster version will feature added design elements to make it more appealing. The car will feature the same exterior design as the standard variant, but, the front and rear bumper are now designed aggressively to give it a sporty look.

The Baleno RS will also come equipped with bi-xenon projector headlamps and electrically-operated OVRMs. Inside, the car will get an updated dashboard and SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Powering the Baleno RS will be a 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine that is tuned to deliver 100bhp of power and 150Nm of torque. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The RS version will measure 1745mm in width, 3995mm in length, 1510mm in height and a wheelbase of 2520mm. The fuel tank capacity will be 37 litres. It is said that the exterior of the Baleno RS will not feature an ‘RS' badging.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS is expected to come with a price tag of around Rs 8 lakh to Rs 9 lakh. Once launched, the RS version will compete against the likes of Volkswagen Polo GTI and Fiat Punto Abarth in the premium hatchback segment.
