Rumor: Maruti S-Cross Facelift To Be Offered Only With A Single Diesel Engine Option
Maruti S-Cross to be offered only with a 1.3-litre diesel engine.
Maruti Suzuki is getting ready to launch the S-Cross facelift in India by the festive season. The current Maruti S-Cross model is offered only in diesel engines, a 1.3-litre, and a 1.6-litre unit.
As per Overdrive, the facelifted Maruti S-Cross will be offered only with a 1.3-litre diesel engine and will discontinue the 1.6-litre diesel motor. Also, reports suggest that Maruti has stopped manufacturing the 1.6-litre S-Cross and currently selling the remaining units.
Additionally, the report states that Maruti might offer a new petrol engine for the S-Cross facelift model to reach out to a wider audience. The facelifted Maruti S-Cross was launched in the global market receives new headlights and a larger chrome grille.

The front bumper of the Maruti S-Cross facelift has been redesigned giving the crossover an aggressive look. The side and the rear profile the remain the same except that the arrangements of the taillights have been tweaked slightly.
Inside the cabin, the new Maruti S-Cross is expected to receive premium touch with new trims and an updated layout. Also, expected are the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the Maruti S-Cross facelift just like other new age Maruti Suzuki vehicles.

With just the 1.3-litre diesel engine on offer on the Maruti S-Cross facelift, Maruti will be able to position and price the crossover competitively. However, we are not going to experience a powerful Maruti Suzuki vehicle in India as only the S-Cross was available with a powerful 1.6-litre diesel unit.
