Maruti Cars Expected At The 2018 Auto Expo
India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki currently commands close to 50 percent market share in the four-wheeler segment. At the Auto Expo 2018, Maruti launched a new car, showcased concepts and revealed its vision of future mobility solutions which could ultimately become part of its portfolio in India.
So what does Maruti has in store at the 2018 Auto Expo? Let us find out.
Next-Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift
Ever since the next-generation Suzuki Swift was revealed, the hatchback has been garnering excellent reviews around the globe. The new Swift will be launched at the Auto Expo 2018 in India.
The hatchback will be powered by the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine as the current model. Also, Maruti could introduce the Swift Sport in India powered by the 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol engine.
Maruti Future S Concept
Maruti Suzuki has revealed its vision for the future with the unveiling of the Maruti Future S Concept. The Future S Concept is positioned below the Vitara Brezza compact SUV and is expected to be launched by 2020. The Maruti Future S Concept has been developed in-house by the company featuring a stunning design both inside and outside.

With a striking design and a bold colour scheme, the Maruti Future S Concept will be sure to take the new micro SUV segment by surprise and will lead to more carmakers vying for new products in the segment.
Suzuki e Survivor
The Suzuki e-Survivor electric concept SUV was first seen at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show and was a talking point at the Maruti stall at the Auto Expo 2018. The SUV concept is based on a ladder frame with high ground clearance to take on some of the toughest terrains.
The Suzuki e-Survivor features electric four-wheel drive inbuilt electric motors on each of the wheels. The company has developed the e-Survivor with autonomous driving capabilities, which can be switched to manual on the fly. Suzuki has not revealed details of the e-Survivor will be put into production; however, the vehicle will form the basis of all future vehicles from Suzuki.
Thoughts About The Maruti Cars At Auto Expo 2018
While we expected Maruti Suzuki to reveal, showcase or launch the Ertiga and Ciaz facelift, the new Renault Kwid rival for the Indian market, instead the company revealed its vision of future mobility with concepts. That said, Maruti has launched the Swift 2018 model with an aggressive price tag to take on its rivals and to consolidate its position in the market.
