Indian automaker Mahindra and Mahindra debuted the XUV Aero at the 2016 Auto Expo. Now, the coupe-styled SUV gets green signal for production.
ZigWheels has reported that Mahindra has confirmed that the XUV Aero will enter production by late-2018 or early 2019. The SUV will be manufactured at the company's Chakan plant in Pune.

The Mahindra XUV Aero's front fascia is aggressively designed, and the overall design is similar to XUV500. The SUV is aerodynamically designed hence the name, Aero.
The XUV Aero combines the sloping roof of a coupe and the aerodynamics of a car. The SUV also features rear-hinged doors, but it is unlikely to make it to the production version.

On the technical front, the XUV Aero is expected to borrow the same 2.2-litre mHAWK diesel engine powering the XUV500. The SUV is likely to make its debut at the 2018 Auto Expo and might be launched in 2019.
