Mahindra XUV500 Facelift Spotted Again — Reveals New Features
Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to introduce the new facelifted XUV500 in the Indian market.
Home-grown automaker Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up for the launch of the facelifted XUV500 in the country. The updated SUV has been spotted several times on Indian roads.
Now, the latest spy shots from Motoroids reveals new features of the updated XUV500. Although the SUV is finished in heavily camouflaged livery, we can identify the updates.

The front fascia of the facelifted XUV500 features newly designed headlamps with projector lights and integrated LED daytime running lights. The front grille and bumper have been revamped to give the SUV a refreshed look.

The rear profile of the 2018 XUV500 is covered with heavy camouflage, and the tailgate is likely to be tweaked. The roof spoiler appears to be different than that of the currently sold model. The tail lamp cluster also remains almost the same as the current-gen model.

Mahindra is also expected to offer newly designed black alloys as part of the update. Apart from that the overall design of the XUV500 will remain the same with subtle changes. The prominent highlight of the new XUV500 will be the new front end with additional features.

The interior of the XUV500 facelift will also receive minor updates, but the overall layout of the dashboard will not change. The interior is likely to feature an updated touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new XUV500 facelift is likely to draw power from the existing 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged, four-cylinder, diesel engine. The engine is expected to come with a higher power output of around 168bhp and 350Nm of torque.

Mahindra is all set to update its flagship SUV in the Indian market with changes to the exterior and interior design. Apart from that, the company is also readying two new SUVs based on the Ssangyong Tivoli which was recently spotted in India. Expect the new XUV500 to be unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo.
