Formula E: Mahindra Racing Finishes On Podium At Monaco
Mahindra Racing managed to secure its best result till date in Formula E, after securing its first podium at Monaco ePrix.
Mahindra Racing took the podium, after finishing in the third place during the Formula E Monaco ePrix. Nick Heidfeld finished the race in third, giving Mahindra a chance to take the podium for the first time in three years.
Teammate Felix Rosenqvist finished the race in the sixth place after completing 51 laps. The Monaco Grand Prix recorded Mahindra's best result in the team's three-year racing history for Formula E.
Heidfeld started the race in the eighth place from the starting grid, behind his teammate, and managed to overtake three cars into the first corner. A minor tussle between Nelson Piquet Jr. and Jean-Éric Vergne on lap 22 helped Heidfeld move up to the third position.
Rosenqvist managed to move up too and did so in spite of facing radio issues. The next challenge Mahindra faces is in Paris, during the next round of the Formula E Championship, where the team has only a few days to prepare for the race.
Heidfeld had previously taken the podium in Monaco during Formula One in 2005, International Formula 3000 in 1998, and Formula Three in 1997.
