Spy Pics: Facelifted Mahindra KUV100 Spied Testing For The First Time

Mahindra KUV100 facelift spied testing in India for the first time. The company's smallest utility vehicle (UV) KUV100 facelifted model sports new fascia and other exterior updates.

The spy images by IAB of the Mahindra KUV100 facelift under heavy camouflage reveals not much, but there are various updates on its exterior which is evident.

The new Mahindra KUV100 receives new front grille, smaller headlamps and new front bumper. The facelifted KUV100 also gets new fog lamp housing and new 15-inch alloy wheels. Among others is an extended A pillar, detailing on the taillamps and extended wheel arches.

Though the spy pictures do not reveal the interiors of the facelifted KUV100, we expect the small UV to receive some changes.

Powering the all-new KUV100 will be the same petrol and diesel engines from the mFalcon series. The petrol engine, a 1.2-litre engine produces 82bhp and 114Nm of torque.

The diesel engine on the KUV100 is a 1.2-litre unit which develops 77bhp and 190Nm of torque. Both the engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and an AMT is a possibility in the upcoming KUV100 facelift model given the rising popularity of the automatic gearbox in India.

Regarding fuel efficiency, the KUV100 diesel models offers 25.32km/l, while the petrol KUV100 offers a mileage of 18.15km/l.

With the spy images of the facelifted Mahindra KUV100, the homegrown carmaker is attempting to chisel the aesthetics of its smallest UV. It has been more than year since the KUV100 was launched in India and Mahindra testing the facelifted KUV100 was expected and the launch could be by the end of 2017 or early 2018.
