142nd Edition Of The Mahindra Great Escape Concludes Successfully In Sakleshpur
The 142nd edition of the Mahindra Great Escape concludes successfully in Sakleshpur in Karnataka.
The 142nd edition of the Mahindra Great Escape concluded successfully in Sakleashpur, Karnataka. Nearly 100 SUVs from Mahindra's stable took part in the challenging route.
The event witnessed participation from Mahindra customers from Sakleshpur and nearby cities like Bengaluru. The Mahindra Great Escape was held amidst the tea plantations and thick foliage offering a challenging setting for off-roading.
Set during the monsoon season the incessant rain further made the off-road environment all the more stimulating with a slippery and arduous route offering 4x4 enthusiasts a playground to test their vehicle's off-road capabilities.
The event was flagged off from Kadamane Estate in Sakleshpur which saw Mahindra vehicles like the Scorpio, Bolero and the extreme off-roader - the Mahindra Thar CRDe 4x4 - each representing the company's tough and rugged DNA.
These iconic Mahindra SUVs negotiated the difficult terrain and exciting obstacles and discovered what it is like to be in the lap of nature. Customers got the chance to explore the natural terrain of Sakleshpur and also witness the capabilities of Mahindra's tough and rugged SUVs.
Known to tackle some of the difficult off-road routes, the Off-Road Trophy competitors got a chance to demonstrate their off-road driving skills through different stages of obstacles. The Off-Road Trophy includes three obstacles which were carefully crafted under the Mahindra Adventure team's expertise.
The obstacles included steep inclines and descends to crossing over slippery boulders. The participants competed fiercely in their regional rounds to be selected for the grand finale at Igatpuri, Maharastra, the winner of which will take home a brand new Mahindra Thar.

The winners of the Sakleshpur round of the Mahindra Great Escape will join winners from the Lonavala, Ahmedabad and Goa Great Escape and other upcoming Great Escapes like Dehradun, Wayanad, Chandigarh, Bhopal and Shillong to compete against each other in the grand finale of the Off-Roading Trophy at Igatpuri.
