Lexus NX 300h Hybrid SUV Revealed In India
Japanese luxury carmaker Lexus has unveiled the NX 300h hybrid SUV in India.
Japanese luxury carmaker Lexus has unveiled the NX 300h in India ahead of the SUV's launch early next year.
The NX 300h is the hybrid variant of the smallest SUV in the Lexus lineup — The NX — which was revealed at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show earlier this year. The Lexus NX 300h is expected to priced at around Rs 60 lakh ex-showroom (pan India).
Powering the new Lexus NX 300h is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that is paired with an electric motor. The combined system output of the hybrid powertrain setup is 194bhp and 210Nm of torque which is sent to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox. The Lexus NX 300h accelerates from 0-100kph in 9.2 seconds and has a top speed of 180kph.
The Lexus NX 300h's is eye-catching, to say the least. The front end of the new Lexus NX SUV is dominated by the company's trademark 'Spindle' grille. Flanking the grille on either side are projector headlamps underneath which sit the LED daytime running lights. The round fog lamps are housed in L-shaped housings on the front bumper.
At the sides, the wheel arches have been pumped up and house either 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels. Character lines across the sides giving them a sculpted look. The rear features sharp, wraparound taillights and a raked windscreen.
The Lexus NX 300h will come packed with features when it enters India next year including a large 10.3-inch infotainment display, leather seats, ambient light and a panoramic sunroof. Expect the Nx 300h to be packed with safety equipment when it arrives on Indian roads.
