Lamborghini Huracan Performante Is The New King Of The Nurburgring — Smashes Porsche's Lap Record
Lamborghini will unveil the new Huracan Performante next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Lamborghini has finally uploaded the onboard video showing the highly anticipated Huracan Performante setting a blistering lap of 6m52.01s at the Nurburgring. By doing this, the new iteration of the Huracan has smashed the records set by Porsche 918 Spyder and its elder sibling, the Aventador SV.

Marco Mapelli, Lamborghini's test driver who also drove the Aventador SV around the ‘Ring in 6m59.73s, has gone three or four steps ahead to set an almost unbelievable lap at the famous track with the new Huracan Performante.

The Performante is powered by a tweaked V10 engine that is expected to produce around 640hp. When compared to its big brother, the Aventador SV, the Performante is at least 100bhp less and almost 240bhp less than Porsche 918's power output.

So, how can it do such a fast lap? Well, the Huracan Performante has ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva), an advanced active aero system which uses electric motors to operate various flaps around the car for faster and more efficient results.
