Lamborghini Huracan Performante Launched In India; Priced At Rs 3.97 Crore

The new Lamborghini Huracan Performante is a lightened, track-focused version of the regular Huracan and is the current production-car lap record holder at Germany's infamous Green Hell, the Nurburgring.

The Huracan Performante lapped the 20.6-kilometre long race track in 6:52.01 seconds beating the previous record held by the Porsche 918 by almost 5 seconds.

Powering the Lamborghini Huracan Performante is a5.2-litre V10 that cranks out 631bhp and 600Nm of torque which is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.

The Lamborghini Huracan Performante races from 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds and zips past 200km/h six seconds later. The Huracan Performante tops out north of 325km/h.

The Huracan Performante's chassis is a lot stiffer compared to the regular Lamborghini Huracan and the new supercar sports a more rigid suspension setup and revised all-wheel-drive system.

The Lamborghini Huracan Performante is also 40 kilogrammes lighter than the regular Huracan thanks to the extensive use of forged carbon-fibre.

The biggest change in the Huracan Performante is the new Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) active aerodynamics system.

The system provides more downforce when the car is cornering but cuts down the drag when the car races down a straight.
