South Korean automaker Kia Motors is gearing up for its India entry by showcasing its products in the country.
South Korean automaker Kia Motors is gearing up for its India entry by showcasing its products at 'Roadshow' to attract potential dealers in the country. Gaadiwaadi reports that the first product in India is likely to be the Picanto hatchback.
Kia has showcased its few products from the global lineup such as the Picanto hatchback, Cerato sedan, Sorento and Sportage SUVs.
The latest iteration of the Picanto was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show this year. The front fascia of the hatchback features sleek LED headlamps, signature front grille and large air dam.
The hatchback also features flared wheel arches and C-shaped tail lights at the rear. The interior of Picanto gets floating touchscreen infotainment system, three-spoke steering wheel and AC vents.

The Picanto is likely to be offered with three petrol engine options, a 1-litre, 1.25-litre and the turbocharged version of the 1-litre engine. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic as an option.
Kia is likely to source components from Hyundai Grand i10 when the hatchback enters the Indian market. The hatchback is likely to be launched in 2019 in the country.

Kia Motors is all set to enter the Indian market in 2019. The South Korean carmaker will introduce a hatchback, sedan and a compact SUV in the Indian market. The company will also make use of Hyundai's components suppliers in the country to keep the cost low.
