Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon Launched Globally — Offers Even More Off-Road Capabilities
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon launched globally. The special edition Wrangler gets off-road specific equipment such as a stronger front axle and a heavy-duty cover for the rear differential.
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon launched for global markets. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon is a Limited Edition model with even more off-road capabilities.
The Wrangler Rubicon Recon was first showcased at Geneva and is now on sale in Europe. The American carmaker says the already capable Wrangler Rubicon receives, even more, off-road capability and better protection from the elements.
The Wrangler Rubicon Recon gets specific off-road components such as a stronger front axle along with heavy-duty cast cover for the differential at the rear. It also features 18-inch wheels which have been painted in low-gloss granite crystal, a dual-vented power dome, 'Rubicon' decals in red lettering along with a trail rated logo with red accents.
The Wrangler Rubicon Recon is available in soft top and hardtop versions. Additionally, the SUV comes with a black fuel filler cap and a black spare tyre cover along with cosmetic updates.
Inside the Wrangler Rubicon Recon, there are few updates like the black leather heated seats with 'Rubicon' logo and red stitching. The front door armrest is draped in black vinyl along with seat belts with red accents that differentiate the Recon from the rest of the Wrangler line-up.
Power to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon comes from a 3.6-litre V6 petrol unit churning out approximately 280 bhp mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox. The limited edition Wrangler is offered in three colours: Gobi, Bright White and Granite Crystal.
For India though, there is no confirmation if the Wrangler Rubicon Recon will make its way to the Indian market.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The limited edition Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon is not just a cosmetic update but comes with added off-road capabilities. This suggests the Wrangler Rubicon Recon is agiler and offers that extra performance to tackle some of the challenging off-road conditions.
