Speculation: Jeep To Offer MOPAR Accessories With The Compass In India
After receiving more than 1000 bookings for the Compass in India, Jeep is now offering MOPAR accessories with the SUV.
Jeep seems to have hit the nail on the right spot in the Indian market as its latest product, the Compass received more than a thousand bookings in less three days after bookings were opened. That, is pretty impressive for a manufacturer whose previous products, like the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee barely sold in the Indian market.
So one would assume that the people over at Jeep would be sitting pretty on their success and waiting for the deliveries of their baby Jeep to begin right? Wrong. Looks like Jeep does not want to take any chances with the Compass and is coming to the Indian market all guns blazing.

As per speculations, Jeep seems all set to launch its MOPAR accessories in the indian market, to make the compass look good, feel good and increase its utility. MOPAR is Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' subsidiary, and is to the FCA group, what M is to BMW and AMG is to Mercedes-Benz. So yes, MOPAR does build faster cars for FCA brands, and also offers accessories for FCA cars in International markets.
For the Jeep Compass, Mopar offers decals for the hood and doors, MOPAR roof rack, bumper inserts and black-coloured rock sliders. 18 and 19-inch alloy wheels complete the additional accessories on offer for the exteriors of the car.
The interiors can be enhanced by choosing from, sporty pedals, leather wrapped gear knob, a working table hooked to the front headrest, an organiser stitched into the backside of the driver's seat, and a tablet holder.
A smartphone app called Jeep-Skills is also part of the additional accessories on offer. Jeep-Skills connects to the 8.4-inch touch-enabled infotainment screen and offers real time information on vehicle performance by monitoring acceleration, braking, wheel position, etc.
For the adrenaline junkies who intend to drive the Compass like a Jeep should be (off the road), MOPAR offers a horizontal roof rack/rail to carry adventure gear and other loads and also a tray at the rear to carry bicycles and heavier adventure gear.
The Jeep compass has not received power upgrades or a bigger engine from MOPAR at the moment in International markets, and we do not have any evidence that they would launch power upgrades in the future too. Jeep has launched 70 accessories for the Compass in international markets, but how many of them would be launched in India remains to be seen.
