Jeep launched the Compass SUV in the Indian market in July 2017. Since then the automaker has been manufacturing the select variants of the SUV as per demand and in a phased manner.

Apart from that Jeep is also expected to add a sunroof to the equipment list of the Compass. Previously a Limited 4x2 variant of the SUV was spotted with few additional features.
The petrol variant of the Compass draws power from a 1.4-litre four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine pumping out 160bhp and 160bhp and 250Nm of torque. The Limited and Limited Option trim comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and the Sport variant gets a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Jeep also plans to introduce the automatic gearbox in the diesel variant of SUV which is likely to hit the roads in January 2018. The Compass has been a successful product for Jeep in India. Despite the increase in price due to additional cess under GST, the demand has been strong. You can read our detailed review of the Compass to know more about the SUV.
