2017 Jaguar XF Sportbrake Revealed
2017 Jaguar XF Sportbrake revealed. The new XF will take on the BMW 5 Series Touring and the Mercedes E-Class estate.
British carmaker Jaguar has revealed the 2017 XF Sportbrake. The Jaguar XF Sportbrake is now on sale in the UK with prices starting at £28,555 (Rs 23.37 lakhs).
The all-new Jaguar XF Sportbrake promises sports car dynamics and looks to its customers and will take on the BMW 5 Series Touring and the Mercedes E-Class Estate.

The XF Sportbrake is available with a choice of three engines: two diesel and one petrol.
The single petrol powerplant is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit from Jaguar new Ingenium lineup of engines. The XF petrol produces 247bhp and 350Nm of torque which is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The base diesel is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that is available in three states of tune - 161bhp and 380Nm of torque, 178bhp and 430Nm of torque, and 237bhp and 500Nm of torque.
The least powerful version of the engine comes paired with both manual (6-speed) and automatic (8-speed) gearboxes and is rear-wheel drive only.

The more powerful variants of the 2.0-litre diesel engine come paired only to the automatic gearbox with the 178bhp variant available with both all-wheel and rear-wheel drive. The top-spec 2.0-litre diesel is all-wheel drive only.

The current range-topping version of the XF Sportbrake is a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 diesel that produces 296bhp and 700Nm of torque. The engine is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends the power to all four wheels.
The 3.0-litre XF Sportbrake diesel sprints from 0-100kph in 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250kph.

Regarding design, the new XF Sportbrake takes most of its design cues from the XF sedan. However, at the rear, the estate features a sharply sloping rear window with a small spoiler. The estate also features taillights similar to the ones found on the F-Pace and the F-Type.

The boot of the XF Sportbrake can be operated by waving a foot under the sensors which allow for hands-free access (useful while coming out of a supermarket).

The XF offers 565-litres (25-litre more than the XF) of space. However, with the rear seats folded down the boot space increases to 1700-litres (815-litres more than the XF) by letting them lay down flat.

The interiors of the XF Sportbrake are mostly carried over from the sedan with an identical dashboard. However, Jaguar has added an air filtration system with digital dials and a 10-inch infotainment system also on the options list.
Owners can also specify the optional panoramic roof which comes with gesture control for the blinds.

DriveSpark Thinks!
The Jaguar XF Sportbrake shows that while crossovers may be taking over the world, there is still a market for an estate car. Seeing an XFR Sportbrake taking on an Audi RS6 in a drag race is something we are really forward to in the future. Make it happen Jag.
