The Nurburgring killer, Jaguar XE SV Project 8, is being showcased at the LA Motor Show. The Track Spec car clocked a record-breaking 7min 21sec at the track, earlier this week.
The car, based on British Manufacturer's entry-level sedan - The XE, will be hand-built at Jaguar's Special Vehicles Operations (SVO) division. In case you do not know, SVO is to Jaguar much like AMG is to Mercedes.
The XE SV Project 8 has a 5-litre Supercharged V8 pumping out 592bhp, to all four wheels. It can reach speeds up to 320km/h and has a 0-100km/h time of 3.3 seconds. The recalibrated 8-speed ZF Quickshift gearbox uses a ‘Pistolshift' lever and has a shifting time close to 200ms.
Only 300 of these will be made and all of them will be strictly Left-Hand Drive. The car has extensive usage of lightweight Aluminium panels and carbon fibre and gives a downforce of over 122kg at 300km/h.

It has a stiff suspension and a fast steering rack, developed keeping only the track in mind. It can be seen as a successor to the Jaguar F-Type Project 7, and costs GBP 149,995 or roughly around INR 1.30 crore.
This monstrous Jaguar sedan rivals the Porsche 911 GT3 and the BMW M4 GTS, considering its potential. The rather abnormal Jaguar saloon will come with four seats as standard, but customers can opt a special Track Pack, which features two racing seats with an optional harness hoop.
