Jaguar Land Rover Achieves Monumental Sales Milestone

Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover has surpassed 6 lakh unit sales in the financial year ended March 31, 2017. It's the first time in the company's history to achieve such a sales figures.
Jaguar Land Rover has recorded a sales figure of 6,04,009 units, a growth of 16 percent compared to last year. Sales figures for the fourth quarter stood at 1,79,509 units and recorded a growth of 13 percent.
Retail sales for the financial year recorded a year-on-year growth of 32 percent (China), 24 percent (North America), 16 percent (UK) and 13 percent (Europe). But the overseas sales were down by 6 percent.
Jaguar managed to sell a record 1,72,848 units, an 83 percent growth compared to last year. The sales were driven by F-Pace, XE and XF. The fourth quarter sales for Jaguar stood at 53,972 units, registering a growth of 81 percent.
Land Rover sold 4,31,161 vehicles in this financial year. A 1 percent growth as opposed to last year. Sales figures for the fourth quarter were 1,25,537 units, a negative growth of 2.7 percent.
Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director, Andy Goss said, "These numbers set the seal on Jaguar Land Rover's seventh successive year of sales growth, by breaking through the 600,000 barrier."
He added, "The last 12 months have seen the launch of three completely new product lines, and successful growth across many of our existing products. Jaguar sales are still increasing strongly and Jaguar is now Europe's fastest-growing car brand."
